    National Grid also owns gas distribution assets including major accident hazard pipelines in north west, central and eastern England.  Please note these asset locations are not detailed on these pages or on Linesearch.  For information on the location of National Grid gas distribution assets and networks, or for more information on National Grid's transmission  networks please call 0800 688588 or email Plantprotection@nationalgrid.com.

  • Smell Gas? To report a gas or carbon monoxide emergency, or if a pipeline is struck (even if no gas leak has occurred) call the National Gas Emergency Service 24 hours a day on 0800 111 999 (calls are recorded and may be monitored).
