Please note that National Grid has published revised Standard Contract Terms following the STOR Outline Change Proposal. The new terms will be effective from 1st April 2017.
The new Short Term Operating Reserve is needed because at certain times of the day National Grid needs reserve power in the form of either generation or demand reduction to be able to deal with actual demand being greater than forecast demand and/or plant unavailability. Where it is economic to do so, National Grid will procure part of this requirement ahead of time through STOR.
The Short Term Operating Reserve service Invitation to Tender ('the ITT Pack') is now available on the How To Participate tab. This invitation is for Tender Round 31 - for contracts commencing 1 April 2017.
