To show you how our redundant brownfield land can been brought back to beneficial use, here are some of our previous projects...
We sold the former gas works on Britannia Road, Southampton to Southampton Football Club for their new 36,000 seat stadium. Construction started in December 1999 and completed in July 2001.
In 2011 National Grid entered into a Joint Venture with Kier to develop out the final phase of the former gasworks at Bell Green, Sydenham. The development, comprising a 120,000 sqft retail park was completed in summer 2013 and has been let to tenants, including B&Q, Next at Home and Argos.
Old Kent Road, Peckham
We sold 13 acres of redundant brownfield land to the London Borough of Southwark for a waste to energy transfer station.
Redundant land at Pear Tree Street Islington was sold to Central Street Properties for a mixed use scheme comprising residential flats, offices and retail.
