  • Entry Capacity Substitution Methodology Statement

  • The Entry Capacity Substitution Methodology statement (ECS) describes the methodology that National Grid uses to determine proposals for the indefinite substitution of  NTS entry capacity from one NTS Aggregate System Entry Point “ASEP” (where it is not required) to another ASEP where demand for entry capacity exceeds existing quantities. In particular, it defines:

    • under what circumstances National Grid will consider such substitutions; and

    • the process to be undertaken by National Grid to determine its proposals to substitute capacity.

At the top of this page is the current version of the ECS. Below this are documents relating to any review of the ECS and related consultation material that is currently being consulted upon.
