We recognise that the energy industry is going
through huge and exciting changes at the moment, with many of these changes
developing at pace.
We are currently undertaking analysis and gathering
information to understand how these developments are affecting commercial
arrangements around electricity network charging, and to get your
input on how we could best proceed with a holistic review of charging
arrangements - to ensure that arrangements are fit for
purpose and enable all industry participants to partake on a level playing
field as the industry evolves.
On 14th and 21st July, National Grid hosted charging seminars to talk about our
work on a holistic transmission charging review to date, and to gather
stakeholder feedback. We are grateful to our external speakers – Energy UK, the
Association for Decentralised Energy and the Electricity Networks Association –
who shared some recent work they have been doing in the area of network
charging arrangements. We also asked stakeholders for their views on proposed
scope of a review and the timing and approach required.
The slides from the seminar morning sessions together with
a brief summarising the output from the seminars are provided below.
