The Campaign for National Parks is the independent national voice for the 13 National Parks in England and Wales. Their mission is to inspire everyone to enjoy and look after National Parks – the nation’s green treasures. For over 75 years they have been campaigning to ensure that our National Parks are beautiful, inspirational places that are relevant, valued and protected for all.
Julian joined the Campaign for National Parks (CNP) in March this year as Chief Executive. CNP is the only independent national voice for the 13 National Parks of England and Wales. CNP’s mission is to inspire everyone to enjoy and look after National Parks. Julian has prioritised the development and launch of a Manifesto for National Parks for next year’s General Election.
"Along with other NGOs, we lobbied hard for many years to persuade Ofgem to make this scheme possible, so we are really pleased that the opportunity for more pylon free views in National Parks has moved a step closer with this announcement. Identifying the sections of line with the most significant visual impact is an important step in the process. With National Grid and other stakeholders we look forward to ensuring the project continues to make good progress."
